COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL Health Insurance Plan

If you are an international student studying at Conestoga College, the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, or the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, you are required to have emergency health insurance coverage. This Plan will cover you for basic health-care services that may be difficult to afford outside your home country, like hospital stays, visits to the doctor, ambulances, x-rays, and more.

Did you know that students covered by CIHIP have access to HI (Virtual Health Care, provided by Dialogue), a service that connects you virtually with nurses and physicians via a mobile or web app from anywhere in Canada? Connect to Dialogue at no additional cost when you have questions about your health. For more information, click here. For help creating your Dialogue account, see the detailed instructions here.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why a Health Plan?

International students must be covered by a basic health insurance plan when they arrive in Canada.

Without health insurance, the high cost of medical services outside your home country could limit your access to the care you need, or leave you with a large debt to pay.

To ensure that you can focus on your studies abroad, you will be able to rest easy knowing that Studentcare, the leading provider of student health and dental plans in Canada, is insuring your health and well-being.
